Pawlenty will visit early-nomination states on book tour

Scheduled to visit Iowa, New Hampshire and Florida early in 2011

Though outgoing Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty hasn’t officially kicked off his presidential campaign, he will begin a proxy campaign tour, traveling across the country to promote his upcoming book in January. Pawlenty’s book, “Courage to Stand,” is scheduled for release on Jan. 11. Later that week he will kick off his tour with an appearance at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

He then goes to Florida on Jan. 14 where he will sign books in Tampa and will speak at Jeb Bush’s Hispanic Leadership Network Inaugural Conference in Miami. He is also scheduled to spend two days in each New Hampshire and Iowa during the tour.

Pawlenty’s term as governor will expire on Jan. 3. He has openly toyed with the idea of mounting a run for president, and has said he will make an decision in the early part of 2011.
