Karl Rove to keynote Mecklenburg County GOP dinner
In yet another sign that North Carolina will be at the center of the 2012 Presidential election, it has been announced former George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove will be in Charlotte on February 26 to host and be the keynote speaker at the Mecklenburg County GOP’s Lincoln-Reagan Day Dinner.
Rove served as top adviser to President George W. Bush and was famously described as “Bush’s brain.”
Dinner tickets start at $100 for an individual and go up to $2,500 for a “Chairman’s Circle” package that includes eight front-row seats and a photo-op with Rove.
Despite winning Mecklenburg County by just over 100,000 votes, Barack Obama captured North Carolina with a razor-thin margin of 14,177 out of 4.3 million votes.
