Trump wears his racism on his sleeve and America noticed.
Americans agree that Trump has been great for racism.
Sixty-five percent of Americans say it has become more common for people to express racist views since Trump assumed the presidency, according to a Pew Research poll released on Tuesday.
Fifty-six percent of the Americans believe Trump has made race relations worse in America during his time in office. Democrats were the most likely in the poll to negatively review Trump's behavior, with 84 percent of Democrats saying he had made things worse. But even 20 percent of Republicans also agreed.
Trump is a racist who has embraced bigotry time and again.
He launched his presidential campaign by describing Mexicans as "rapists."
Trump praised neo-Nazis who were marching in defense of the pro-slavery Confederacy as "very fine people."
He described immigrants as "animals" and decried people coming to America from nonwhite countries as coming from "shithole" nations.
Over and over and over, Trump attacked black NFL players for protesting police brutality against black Americans. Mike Pence spent thousands in taxpayer dollars to help Trump in this endeavor.
He attacked NBA star LeBron James and CNN anchor Don Lemon, describing them both as stupid, something he also did with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) and President Barack Obama. All the people he described this way are black.
Trump pushed for the execution of the young black men described as the Central Park Five long after they had been exonerated for the crimes they were falsely accused of.
On social media he continually amplifies the work of white supremacists, even once triggering an international incident by falsely claiming that South Africa was pursuing a "white genocide" policy.
And of course, he wants a racist border wall to seal off America from immigrant families.
Racism is at the core of Trump, it motivates his personality, his policy, and his administration. It is everything to him.
And America sees that and no amount of doublespeak or whitewashing can hide it.
