Trump rally demands Hillary be locked up minutes after he's impeached

Donald Trump has been officially charged with crimes by the House of Representatives, but his fans are still demanding Hillary Clinton be thrown in jail.

On Wednesday night, the House of Representatives impeached Donald Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of justice.

Minutes later, at a Trump rally in Battle Creek, Michigan, his supporters broke into their all-too-familiar chant, "Lock her up!" — still demanding his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton, be imprisoned for the crime of being Hillary Clinton.

"And now I hear she wants to run again," Trump said, even though that baseless rumor has been repeatedly debunked. "Wouldn't that be great?" He looked heaven-ward, as if in prayer.

"Oh, would we love that," he continued. "You think the Democrats are screwed up? Wait 'til that happens."

Then, on cue, the crowd broke into its chant: "Lock her up! Lock her up!"

Trump, as usual, didn't stop his fans from demanding Clinton be locked up. Instead, he gave them permission to continue their chant."Based on the FBI report — you just saw what happened with the IG, where they came out, with the FBI," he said, "based on that — you know what? I never stopped you but now ... Think of what they did."

The report Trump referenced did not find any wrongdoing by Clinton nor give any reason why she might be charged for any crime, let alone imprisoned.

But that hasn't stopped Trump or his supporters. Meanwhile, multiple Trump campaign advisers have been charged, convicted, and sent to prison — including Rick Gates, who was sentenced to 45 days in jail this month —  and Trump now faces a trial in the Senate for his alleged crimes.
