Trump loses it, says the whole world abandoning him was his idea all along

Donald Trump’s week of white supremacy has cost him the support of pretty much everyone, from Wal-Mart to the Marines.

He’s been ditched by the nation’s leading CEOs, influential artists, and even Steve Bannon, who claims he quietly resigned his position as Trump’s whiteboard-wielding chief strategist weeks ago.

But according to the White House, it’s all part of his plan.

That unexpected announcement is in response to the brutal open letter of resignation from Trump’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, in which the members said, among other things, “Ignoring your hateful rhetoric would have made us complicit in your words and actions,” and called on Trump to resign.

Belatedly claiming he was going to get rid of the group anyway is the same sad spin Trump personally tweeted on Thursday, when news broke that the top CEOs comprising his Strategic and Policy Forum had decided to disband in protest of his deplorable defense of Nazis and white supremacists, and that his Manufacturing Advisory Council was poised to do the same.

“Rather than putting pressure on the businesspeople of the Manufacturing Council & Strategy & Policy Forum, I am ending both. Thank you all!” he tweeted.

But only the day before, he had insisted, also on Twitter, “For every CEO that drops out of the Manufacturing Council, I have many to take their place. Grandstanders should not have gone on.”

Trump’s strategy of telling the world “You can’t quit on me — you’re fired!” did not persuade anyone.

The CEOs who had decided to ditch the disastrous Trump immediately let it be known that they, not he, had made the decision to disband, revealing his sudden tweet to be nothing more than a desperate attempt to save face.

If Trump had indeed decided earlier in the month to disband the Arts and Humanities group as well, the White House certainly chose a bizarre time to announce it — after the group’s members resigned.

It’s spin that is not likely to convince anyone and only shows how increasingly isolated and despised Trump really is.
