White House admits Trump is the one leaking the stories they deny

Trump's White House is slamming journalists for reporting on possible staff shake-ups. But Trump himself is the one leaking the stories.

Trump's White House is in complete disarray, with constantly leaking stories of chaos, infighting, and imminent staff shake-ups. But it turns out the Trump himself is the leaker.

During her daily press briefing Friday, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders dismissed reports of staff departures.

"Our focus is not on a lot of the news stories that you guys would like us to be focused on," she said, "but we're actually focused on what the American people want us to do."

But according to White House chief of staff John Kelly, those stories are coming directly from Trump.

Kelly held an off-the-record briefing with reporters, but excluded Axios, which then was under no obligation to keep his name out the story.

Axios reported that according to Kelly, "his boss, Donald Trump, is likely speculating about staff moves to people outside the White House and that reporters are then talking to those people." Further, "a good deal of the news" about possible replacements can be attributed to Trump.

In other words, Trump is creating the news and then sending his press secretary to attack journalists for reporting what he's telling them.

This is the "finely tuned machine" Trump infamously bragged about a year ago.

Trump has a long history of leaking stories about himself to the press. During his time as a media personality and huckster, Trump would often speak to tabloids, using the name "John Barron" as a pseudonym.

Back then, Trump's leaks were meaningless tabloid amusement. Now, his childish leaks have national and global implications.

While he laughs about it and acts like it's all part of a show, serious issues like nuclear North Korea and the direction of the financial markets are being held hostage.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, his underlings are peddling smears of journalists for reporting the stories that Trump is generating.

The Trump team is once again creating a false narrative to undermine journalists when they have nobody to blame but themselves.
